About Course

In this feature film course you'll learn the basics you need to shoot your first feature, and I'll show you how we made our six feature films. First we'll watch the films in a private screening, then we'll take the six features apart and you'll see them with commentary explaining the why of each shot and how we did it: how long it took, how we organised the shoots, how many days, and so on. We'll analyse our 6 feature films, all of them shot in less than a week. When I started, I was told you couldn't shoot a feature with almost no budget, practically no equipment and without a fully locked script. I broke all those rules on my first feature, and on each one I shot afterwards I broke other rules: I changed genres and shot my features in less and less time and with fewer resources. Here you'll see the result, and you can do it even better if you have passion and drive. We'll watch 6 feature films and analyse how I made them, which will give you enough practice to face a shoot with confidence. I'll give you some tips on how I approach a shoot and what I do to keep things under control.

I've shot six feature films on budgets of between €2,000 and €10,000. Not with grants, not with a production company behind me: with the crew I could gather and the means I had. This course is how I did it. All six, taken apart from the inside: what I decided, what it cost me, what I'd do differently. It's not film-school theory, it's the record of what worked when there was no money for it to fail. 45 lessons. From the moment you decide your story can carry a feature until the film exists.

Frequently asked questions

If you have a question that isn't here, write to me and I'll answer it myself.

Is it really the only one in Spanish?

Yes. There's no other course in Spanish that teaches you to make a first feature film on minimal budgets, taught by someone who has done it 6 times. A film-school master's costs between 6,000 and 15,000 €. This course: 295 € and lifetime access.

What budget can I start with?

I've shot my features on budgets of between 2,000 € and 10,000 €. In the course I show you how each of those budget levels works and when it makes sense to jump from shorts to features.

Do I need professional equipment?

No. But you do need a minimal crew. In the course I explain how to put together a small crew of people who want to do it, without money involved.

Does this course also teach distribution?

No. This course is about how to shoot your first feature and finish it: from the idea to the finished film. Distribution isn't included. If you're looking for festivals and distribution, I cover that in the «Haz tu cortometraje» (Make Your Short Film) course.

Do I get lifetime access?

Yes: one-time payment, lifetime access.

Is there a refund policy?

14 days. If you find it's not for you, write to me and I'll refund your money. No questions asked. You can read the terms in the refund policy.

Can you support me on my real project?

Yes, in two ways: comments and questions inside the course (I answer personally), and one-to-one sessions outside the course (contact me through the website).
